The Restaurant

Our menu evolves daily and is an expression of the Somerset landscape, using produce grown by the team on our nearby farms. All menus are samples due to this.

Our private dining room invites people to come together. A space that is as artistically eloquent as it is comforting — here food is shared, glasses are raised, and moments are celebrated.

The Rooms

Our four beautiful bedrooms, located directly above the restaurant, complete our vision of a holistic hospitality destination that celebrates food, drink, art and design.

Amongst rolling Somerset hills and at the foot of a beautiful pine forest, Osip is our home. A 300 year old former – country inn where you can stay the night, explore the gardens, take a tour of the kitchen and relax fireside for an after dinner drink.

If you are driving…..

From Bruton:
Drive along Station Road, heading out of Bruton town, toward the train station. Head under the railway bridge and past the turning to Hauser & Wirth and up the hill. Follow the road for just over a mile. You’ll reach Redlynch crossroads, turn left here towards Hardway and follow the country lane until you find us!

From A303 (Wincanton):
Exit the A303 at Wincanton. Take the third exit, followed by the first on the two roundabouts. At the next roundabout take the first exit and follow the one way system. Turn left after the post office, onto North Street. Continue on this road for 3.3 miles. You’ll reach Redlynch crossroads, turn right here towards Hardway and follow the country lane until you find us!

If you are travelling by train….
Via Castle Cary,
If you have taken the fast train to Castle Cary, you will need to get a short 15min taxi ride over to Osip.

Via Bruton,
If you have taken a train to Bruton, you are only a 4 minute taxi ride from Osip.

We offer complimentary transfers on a first come, first served basis – if available, these will show as an option when booking your room. Otherwise, there are a number of local taxi companies (whose details can be found here) but we do recommend booking with plenty of advance notice, especially during busier periods of the week and year.

How do I book?

RESTAURANT
We take our reservations via our website up to 120 days in advance – just click “Book a Table” and follow through the simple steps. We do not take a deposit but do ask for card details to be stored, which are only used in the event of a no-show or a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice. For groups of six or more the notice period is 48 hours. If you would like more specific information or are struggling to find your desired reservation, please email us at reservations@osiprestaurant.com.

ROOMS
Rooms can currently be booked up until the 27th September 2026.

Full payment for the bedroom will be taken upon booking. All extras will need to be settled on departure.

How do I get to Osip?

FLYING INTO LONDON
From central London it is only a three hour drive.

FLYING INTO BRISTOL
It is a short one hr, fifteen minute drive.

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN
You can travel from London Paddington to Castle Cary (1hr 30 mins) or Bruton (2hrs)

Do you cater for dietaries and allergies?

We gladly accommodate most dietary requirements with prior warming. We require a minimum of 48-hours’ notice of dietaries or intolerances otherwise there is a risk we may not be able to accommodate on the day. We also ask that you specify the number of people in your party who have a given request.

Please note, we are unable to cater for those with Vegan or Dairy free requirements.

Am I able to buy a gift voucher?

Of course you can, we use a third-party partner to look after these for us. You can either have an e-Voucher or for a small fee they will send out a beautiful paper copy.

How does the menu work at Osip?

For both lunch and dinner, there is no menu presented at the table. We curate an experience that celebrates a time and a place in Somerset, using ingredients that have been grown by us or our neighbours.

The experience is around eight courses; featuring a series of small snacks, multiple savoury courses, desserts and petit fours. Our tasting menu is £165 per person. We also offer a £75 three course table d’hote menu in the evenings and a £95 five course lunch menu. You are able to select your preferred experience when making your booking.

We regularly offer supplementary courses that can be chosen when you’re seated at your table.

Do you offer a drinks pairing?

We offer the option of a bespoke wine pairing for each different menu we offer. Our beverage programme celebrates small scale winemakers who farm in a responsible way as well as West country ciders and our own soft drinks made from wild and homegrown ingredients.

We are also excited to offer a soft pairing for those who wishing with experience the delight of a paired drinks selection but prefer not to drink alcohol.

What is your policy on children dining at Osip?

We do not provide a children’s menu at Osip. Considering guest feedback, we only accept children of dining age in the restaurant – who are dining on the same menu as the rest of the table.

We are a small restaurant and therefore do not have capacity to accommodate non-dining guests. If you would like any further information, please contact: reservations@osiprestaurant.com

What times can I book a table for?

In the evenings, we have offer tables at 6.30pm, 6.45pm, 7.30pm or 7.45pm. Lunch is available Thursday – Sunday and can be booked at 12.30pm or 1.30pm.

How long does the tasting menu experience take?

We recommend that diners allow three hours to comfortably enjoy our lunch experience. For the full tasting menu, we recommend you allow three and a half hours.

Do you have a bar area?

We do have a bar area at Osip where you will begin your experience with us. If you wish to arrive earlier than your booking, you are welcome to enjoy an aperitif here too.

Do you offer Corkage?

We do offer corkage which is set at £55 per bottle. We just ask that you let us know in advance either by adding it to your reservation notes or by sending us an email.

Is there disabled access?

Yes, there is for the restaurant. Unfortunately, we do not have disabled access for those wishing to stay with us. If you have any questions, please email reservations@osiprestaurant.com.

What is your policy on dogs?

We are unable to admit dogs into the restaurant or the rooms, and we do not have any outdoor dining seating.

Events and large groups?

The largest party size we can host in the restaurantis 6 people. For private events, parties or private hires, please get in touch for more information at reservations@osiprestaurant.com.

What is your cancellation policy?

RESTAURANT
If you cancel within 24-hours of the booking time or do not show up, the full price of the menu will be charged. Any cancellations made with more than 24-hour’s notice will not incur any fee.

ROOMS
We are fully sympathetic to your plans changing – once a booking is confirmed it is subject to the following cancellation policy: reservations can be cancelled or changed up to fourteen days prior to arrival. Cancellations after this date will result in a 50% refund.
